A fine budget laptop.
I got this laptop because of the i5-1035G1 processor and 1920x1080 display. Most laptops in this price range have lesser processing power and screen resolution. The i5-1035G1 has a max turbo frequency of 3.6 GHz and gets a PassMark score of about 7,960. I'm surprised at the great condition of the laptop. Being refurbished, there are a few scratches on mine near the keyboard, maybe the previous owner wore jewelry while typing. The screen has no scratches, and the exterior looks great. Also included was a 2 year third party warranty. I tested the battery. Setting the screen to half brightness, wifi off, speakers loudest, and highest power saving mode, I was able to play a 720p movie on repeat from the ssd for almost 9 hours. With the same settings and watching the same movie from Youtube with wifi on, the battery lasted over 6 hours. Though I'm very happy with my budget purchase, I wish I had spent a little extra ($75 price difference at the time) to get the backlit keyboard, IPS display, and two more USB 3.0 ports.

If you're not pulling your ear up and out, you're doing it wrong.
1 of 1 found this helpful Make sure you insert them correctly for optimum performance. I've been doing it wrong for years. Watch a YouTube video. You need to gently roll them in your fingers, pressing harder and harder for ten seconds. They should be almost as thin as a toothpick (almost). Then you need to pull up and out on your ear to straighten the ear canal, and it should slide in easily. Then hold for ten seconds. It should not stick out (like a cork) at all, it should sit behind the nub on your ear (the tragus).
These yellow ones seem to stay compressed a second longer than the orange ones so it's easier to get inserted before it expands.
I use these for mowing the lawn and with power tools. Protect your hearing, it doesn't grow back.

Awesome steering wheel
This review is for the Microsoft Wireless Race Wheel with paddle shifters, not version 2 as pictured with stick shift.
Started playing Need for Speed Shift, and the wheel is responsive and gives good feedback. Tried Burnout Paradise, steering seemed overly sensitive, maybe there's a setting somewhere to correct. Played Need for Speed Most Wanted, I felt it was the best experience, you can feel the car get grip and when going over a jump feel the front wheels make contact when landing. Also played Dirt 2 real quick, again felt great with lots of force feedback. Nice rubber grip on the wheel and sturdy construction, feels like something from an arcade.
The mounting bracket is nice, but when used on a thin table (tabletop less than 2 inches thick), might need a small block of wood to add thickness for the strongest clamp.
Overall love it, playing Dirt 2 real quick, it seems my lap time improved dramatically.
