My Quantaray XLF 50 Flash IS GREAT
I normally spend alot of time doing research and on ebay looking for items to work on MY camera, a Canon PS sx10 is. After finally locating a camera shop that took time with me, we decided the Phoenix DZBIS-112II flash was what i needed. I told them i know very little about using any camera so i want one that "DOES IT ALL" FOR ME. At the same time i did NOT want to spend lots of money (one reason i chose not to get a Canon brand flash). After getting the flash, though the merchant and tec support were great, this Phoenix flash was a subpar product, also top heavy and big and did not really brighten pictures with THIS FLASH. I took it in to my local Wolf Camera shop and after testing, etc. the saleman said- why don/t you try this Quantaray xlf 50, its small, does everything the phoenix does and ALL U DO IS TURN IT ON AND DON/T WORRY ABOUT ANY SETTINGS. So, i changed over to this one and its great, compact, does its job and works on my sx10-is AS WELL AS MY KIDS S5 IS.......ITS GREAT FOR THE MONEY. I returned the Phoenix and the Quantaray was cheaper, too.

No bells and whistles, not text friendly but remain loyal to Nokia brand
1 of 1 found this helpful Knowing that the Nokia 5300 is not one of the "latest, greatest" cell phones, and I could care less about taking pics or listening to music, its just a basic cell phone I purchased for sole purpose of being able to have the Bands to use it from outside the USA. One tremendous drawback is fact that with sooooo many newer phones having keypads, etc. and everyone rather text than talk--this is NOT the phone to use!! Its very antiquated if one needs to text BUT, i have somewhat learned this phone's basics AND since it is out of date/discontinued, i tend to buy resale / used ones occassionally just to have a spare. I/ve got all the extras that relate to this phone so I just stay with it. Also I need to stay with Nokia for reception service at my vacation home---Nokia is best brand for reception there.
