Celestron CGE Dovetail Bar, 8-inch - 94216
13 June 2018
This rail worked great for my older 1980’s 8” tube
It looked even better because it was on a black celestron tube, I liked the look of the orange rail on the black tube and it fit perfect and I loved it on my scope, if you need this rail for your scope then get it and enjoy that distinctive Celestron orange rail
Sig Sauer Romeo1 1x30 Mini Reflex Sight SOR11005

Waited a long time to buy another red dot sight, glad I did
Several years ago I had a couple Trijicon/Doctor Optics mini red dot sights and ended up letting them go and always wanted to get new ones and looked at every one I could find and just never pulled the trigger on them, I got a good deal on one here on eBay and bid and won it, after receiving it I was happy I did because I love the design and form and function of the Sig Sauer Mini red dot sight, first thing is they are pretty well built but Sig has a five year warranty on the electronics and a lifetime warranty on the sight itself, so if it’s broken they’ll repair or replace it free of charge, I also bought a Sig P320 pistol with the factory mounted and sighted in red dot and the first time I took it out to the range we shot at 30 yards and put 90% of the rounds in a 4” circle and that’s harder then it sounds with a pistol at 30 yards, so this sight on this pistol new out of the box is dead on accurate and with a little practice using this red dot on a pistol it’ll be a rack driver, I had long thought of putting a red dot on a pistol and now I’m mad I waited so long to do it, I’ve gotten to be a pretty good shot with a pistol and and can hit a 6” steel round target 8 out of 10 times at 100 years with basic iron sights but with this red dot sight it makes hitting the bulls eye a lot easier then iron sights
Ultimate Bearing Kit for Dillon XL 650 Hit Factor (650U)
11 January 2018
I guess it’s ok if you want to spend money on parts you won’t use or don’t need?
I didn’t use everything that came in the kit, i actually only used the caming pin with the roller bearing on the end and the shell plate bearing with two washers and the shell plate detent ball and lightweight spring, but the rest of the parts were not used because I didn’t like the fit or they caused problems, the knobs for the powder measure and powder bars are useless and won’t stay on unless you epoxy them to the bolt and that’s not a good idea, so I bought a different set of knobs for the powder bars that are solid and work great, the knurled thumbscrews are not a good option, at least on my press, they are hard to gauge what’s the proper torque compared to the factory screws so if you use them the chances are you won’t tighten them enough or will tighten them too much, then there’s the nylon washers that you have to modify if you use them with the knurled thumbscrews on your powder measure because they won’t stay tight and have a tendency to creep loose, so overall half the kit wasn’t used, I tried everything in the kit but I just ended up removing the screws and nylon washers and the knobs. The instructions are severely lacking and could use a bit more description and direction as well as pictures and were very limited and were nearly useless especially since they do not name or give parts numbers, of the parts I did use the shell plate bearing works well as does the shell feeder cramming Pin, the cramming Pin needs to be properly adjusted after install and you can find the instructions in your dillon user manual and the shell plate bearing needs to be properly greased before you install it and then again every now and then to make sure it doesn’t get dry, the powder bar knobs aren’t that great so I bought a set of knobs that are permanently attached to a adjustment bolt that replaces the original bolt and they work great now, other then that there isn’t much to the kit, except the detent ball and lightweight spring which I also used from this kit and seem to work ok as far as I can tell, it probably would have been cheaper to buy only the parts I used instead of three knobs that don’t stay on and seven knurled thumbscrews and nylon washers that I have no use for as far as I can tell right now? But who knows, maybe they’ll come in handy for something someday so I keep them in my spare parts box on my loading bench for now just in case I find a use for them someday
