Callaway Rogue 3 Wood Stiff Shaft Golf Club

Rogue 3 Wood - A High Recommendation
First, I love it! The Rogue head design is awesome, undoubtedly the basis for the later, very successful Epic Flash design. I have purchased Rogue driver, 3W, and 5W, thru eBay, but with different shafts (Why not?). The 3 wood's stiff shaft gives me the confidence to hit it straight. I get 195 to 205 yards with it, not bad for a super senior. In sum, I highly recommend this club.

Forged, lightweight black-finished irons from Callaway hold promise.
My wife got this set two years ago, paying about $900. She loves them. I got the same set on eBay for $350. It is Callaway's top end forged set for 2012. The clubs are light and perform best when not swung violently. A smooth swing is rewarded with a good shot. They have a black finish which do not stand up well to sandy lies. I have attempted to protect the clubheads with iron covers, which is clumsy and slows down play; I am just postponing the inevitable cosmetic deterioration. I am a fan of the 6-9 and pw and a-wedge. The 4 and 5 hybrids are so light that I am yet to trust them. More time on the range may prove them to be valuable additions to my bag. I have played golf for 53 years and have been a single digit handicapper until last year. I can only hope that these clubs will return me to an acceptable handicap. Time will tell.
CALLAWAY GOLF 2015 XR 3 HYBRID GRAPHITE 5.5

Old Technology, But Great Feel
Though I have moved on to the Callaway Rogue driver, 3W and 5W, from the XLR editions, I have kept the XLR 3 hybrid in my bag. It has provided me with the best feeling, longest hitting hybrid that I've owned. I get 170-180 yards with it, and I can even find my ball when it stops rolling. What more could one ask for? It fits my eye, and feels good. I recommend this club, if you can find one.
