Racers Edge Revo Aluminum Complete Servo Saver Assembly Blue 1922BL

Looks nice, but fitment is an issue.
Fitment was an issue. Otherwise it's well built. The aren't any instructions, so you have to guess as to what the parts are for. I'm assuming the plastic ring is to go under the spring for the bearing to rest in, however, it's too large for the bearing and there isn't a boss/seat for the bearing to sit in. The bearing is 5x11x4, but the ring's ID is somewhere around 13mm, so the bearing bangs around in it. I ended up using my stock plastic piece for that, then also used my traxxas HD spring with a couple washers to make it a bit stiffer. The spring that came with the piece is taller, which makes up for the extra space their swing part doesn't take up, but since I'm not using that, I used my spring. The main reason I was buying this was for the cap piece where the 5x8 bearing goes. I've replaced this part 3 times so far as it has a tendency to crack. The alloy piece from this doesn't key into the stock piece, but it should hold up fine. Would suggest spending a bit more on something like Hot Racing's version as their fitment has been spot on for other parts I've bought. (except for rocker arms). The HR servo saver setup for my outcast 6s and stampede 4x4 fitment worked just fine, so would assume their revo servo saver would be better than this as well. Although, since I can't find a photo of the underside of it, I couldn't say for sure with it either. I cut the one side off the arm piece as I only run a single servo on my revo's and didn't want it there to get hung up on anything I drive over.

Good drive, would buy it again.
So far, this is proving to be a pretty good thumb drive. I got it for the sole purpose to use as an ubuntu boot drive. Took a bit of work to get the software all working how I wanted, but none of the issues were due to the drive. This is far faster than some older 8GB geeksquad drives I had. I wanted this one because it's fast and very short, so it doesn't stick out as I plan on keeping it connected to the laptop all the time. Unfortunately, the laptop is USB2 only, so it can't leverage the speed of this device fully. It still reads faster than older USB3 drives I was using. When I wrote everything to this drive, it was via a USB3 port on my main desktop. I believe it transferred/wrote data around 40MB per second. The files I copied to it were around 6GB total and it didn't take long to copy things repeatedly. It was also very fast to copy from. After setting up ubuntu and getting everything situated, I copied the entire drive to a folder on my main pc as a backup. I went through this process 4 or 5 times before I was satisfied with my setup.

Works pretty good
Oddly, our cats didn't really do anythign with it when the skirt was attached. After removing the skirt and raising the device up on a stool, then they would play with it. Then we tied a couple pieces of ribbon to the end of it and now they go nuts over it. After it ran for a couple hours or so, it started squeaking badly which was driving us nuts. I took it apart and applied some wax (bicycle chain lube) to the contact areas that support the spinning mechanism and it's been silent ever since with a quiet whirring sound as the motor spins it. We will buy another if it breaks and the cats remain interested in it. Our older cat lost interest pretty quick, but our 6 month old cat demands that we turn it on daily for her. She will stand on it and cry at us until we turn it on. Then she plays with it for an hour or so and we shut it off when she gets distracted by something else.
