Love the car
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a great drift car by HPI. I put on LP 31mm & LP 35mm tires and it drifts much better than with the LP 26mm tires. I have ordered the D-Box Gyro and can't wait for it to arrive and run the car with this add-on. Ratings on the D-Box are all very positive, so I'm excited to try it on.
I am a big HPI fan since parts and hop ups are plentiful.

This is a beautiful, well made, iconic car from HPI. You have a choice to install the pieces for bucket lights or decals.I opted to go with LED light

TF-40 feels and looks like a "real" RC Car Transmitter.
I had purchased the new HPI RS4 Sport3 (Mustang) and it came with a TF-11 radio receiver and transmitter. The transmitter looked and felt like a real "cheap" transmitter (being an HPI product).
Before purchasing the mustang, I purchased the HPI's RS4 Sport3 (Subaru) and that one came with the TF-40 radio and transmitter.
Bought a replacement TF-40 radio w/transmitter in order to get a better quality transmitter and bind the new Mustang with the same transmitter. Installed the TF-40 radio and now I used a single TF-40 transmitter for both RS4 Sport 3 cars.
I am very disappointed with HPI, putting a TF-11 radio/transmitter in the mustang. Both chassis are identical, however HPI packaged one with the TF-40, while the mustang was packaged with the TF-11 (ugly and cheap from HPI)
