9 of 10 found this helpful This radar detector so far has exceeded my expectations in every way but one. False alerts from park distance control units on many cars bumpers. This common feature is measured at approx. 24.199-24.2frequency range within the K band. These false alerts are on the highways everywhere and this radar detector picks them all up. The auto muting is helpful and a great feature but I would like for this to go away for good! I do have the option to delete K band detection but I live in North Carolina where some municipalities still use the older radar. The fact that the cars giving off the signal isn’t in the same place as far as GPS is concerned does not allow it to be automatically blocked like other static/stationary signals around town. One of the best features in my opinion. Overall the phone app is great, the settings and preferences are second to none. The range is much better than my Pro100 series Beltronics that preceded this new unit. Overall I think it’s awesome. I haven’t had any problems with ios 11 like I’ve read about and I really do believe this is the best detector that I’ve ever used. I wouldn’t buy from escort though- i saved over 150 buying new on ebay.
