HORI Nintendo Switch HORIPAD Wired Controller Officially Licensed by Nintendo
    30 August 2017
Nice looking, nice analogue sticks, but...
The controller, even though it's wired, is VERY difficult to get it connected to the Switch. The weight is a bit too light. There is no motion control (which you might think doesnt matter, but when you're aiming your bow in Zelda, the motion controls are used even if slightly), and there is no HD rumble, no SD rumble, no rumble at all. The buttons feel great, the analogue sticks are wonderful, and the screenshot button is MUCH better than Nintendo's own pro controller button. So, once you get it connected, and get used to no vibration, no motion, and the lighter weight, it's not too bad. It's not great, it should have vibration and the should have weighted it the same as Nintendo's controller, but it's not terrible. For the price, $30, it could be better.

Has all the iphone features most ppl want, works just fine and saves money!
Here's the thing; it's not the newest phone on the market, but the biggest attraction to this phone is that you can get a good iphone and save a ton of money. It works just fine, has all the features that most everyone will use, and unless you are a tekkie that just has to have the most up to date technology, you won't miss not having an iphone 6, 7, or whatever is out at the time you are reading this. It's a good phone and does what you expect it to do...and it's still an iphone.
The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim VR - PlayStation 4 PS4
    08 March 2018
Great game as always, but VR dizziness abounds
The game is Skyrim, a wonderful open world RPG adventure game. If you've played it before, you already know about the game, so I'll focus on changes made for the VR as well as the overall VR experience. To get the world of Skyrim playable with the gamer actually inside the world, some of the graphics details had to be reduced a bit. It's not the resolution of the VR headset either, as different versions were compared on-screen (55" 4k TV) and the PS4 version looks the best, followed by the Switch version, then finally the VR version. Moderate detail is lost even when stepping down from Switch to the VR version. Those are the three copies of the game I had to compare. Still, the PlayStation VR version of Skyrim is intensely immersion. It really feels as though you are actually at Windhelm, and the various caves and dungeons are just a treat to experience in VR, for the most part. The reduced resolution cab be a bit distracting if you've played the game before, and my biggest issue with the game comes from the motion sickness I experienced whike playing. Keep in mind that I played completely through Resident Evil 7 in VR mode (ridiculous, please give it a try) and I have played around with demos and other software for several hours without even a little bit if motion sickness. With Skyrim, however, the nausea and dizziness were overwhelming, and after about an hour Inga to stop playing altogether. Skyrim is amazing in VR. the entire game is there, but the game is held back a bit by lower resolution and some motion sickness that I could not overcome. The latter issue could prove to be an individual problem, one that you may or may not experience at all, but since Skyrim is the only game where this was an issue for me, I have to assume that the problem will remain for a majority of players. I would have liked a little more detail, as the Nintendo Switch version even looks significantly better, but the graphics still are not a deal breaker. If you can handle the VR motion, pick this game up and actually be a part of Skyrim. There's nothing quite like battling a dragon in VR.
