Epiphone John Lennon Casino "Revolution" #226/1965
    29 March 2017
    revolution
purchased a 2005 on eBay in 2017, jan, and was low price. (needs a fret/grind & polish). some buzzing, string broke right away. i had a bone nut cut. replaced tuners with tone pros Kluson, and bridge, likewise/tone pros. sound is amazing. (why have the lennon 60's experience when you can enhance the sound) played acoustically notes articulated, loud resonant. neck amazing. fit & finish, as good or better than some gibsons. notes a little less volume up the fretboard, but as loud as an acoustic. great guitar. have written several songs on it, (acoustically), already. these guitars are worth the money. i have a 1965 i traded a d28 for in 2010, and it had been regretted, lower frets. love it but it's about 20% of the volume and clarity of the revolution. great guitar for writing and recording, sitting around comfortably.
CANON New F-1 35mm SLR film camera for FD lens F-1N F1 **** NEAR MINT ****
    10 March 2016
    New F1
Purchasing this camera some 35 years after it's release, and having been involved in photography for some 45 years in a mostly amateur level, and after owning a few of Nikon f3's, (which this one was competing with), i was pleasantly surprised. Tho, the f3 is easier to handle, and more ergonomic, and the winding mechanism superior, as is the viewfinder, (back) blind. I found this camera to feel amazing in the hand, and stunning to look at. The one aspect i did not like is the depth of field preview, or stop down mechanism. for the time i think retro, and also with the finder it came with i disliked the appendage on the prism side for the auto-winder. Viewfinder superior to the f3. Fs's crystal readout a bad, bad choice. The fact it has a hybrid shutter trumps nikon in a big way. Why did they go to all the trouble of making a superior camera and leave this out??? The battery compartment on F1, another negative. However it is a fine professional instrument, made extremely well.
