Looks great in our sunroom, where a live plant would bake to death
Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports Lens for Nikon F

Excellent lens, but requires fine-tuning
Sigma is now dedicated to producing top-quality lenses, and gives Nikon and Canon great competition. This lens is a good example. Be sure you get the SPORT model for best IQ, not the contemporary or Art. This lens is fairly heavy, but way less than the Nikon 500mm prime I usually drag around and hand-hold. Construction and weather-sealing are top-quality. I'm very tired of dragging the 300 and 500 all over the world, and hope and pray this lens is the solution (so does my husband, who is usually the Sherpa). This is a lens that requires fine-tuning to match it to your camera. This is a tedious process, and time-consuming process - but well worth it. There are other pros that fine-tune lenses as part of their business, and I'd highly recommend using one. EJ Peiker on Naturescapes.net is one and the guy I used. Lens went for "quite ok" to "tack-sharp" with his 6 hours of work for $200. Sandy R
