Memery saver

I purchased this to help my father transfer 25+ year old recordings to digital format. I had forgotten how well built these cameras were constructed and the optics attached. Not that they are needed but as a playback platform, it is performing above expectations.

Robust and reliable

Not only do these units look sharp with a high quality build, they engage the drives well first time. I have used other competitors units and the build standard is questionable. These add to the usefulness in that there is a switch allowing you to turn off a fitted drive. I use two of these in a tower unit so I can swap out differing drives with differing OS/software installations and for cloning drives as a back up. I would heartily recommend these for someone with a spare drive bay in their case.

Mono to stereo - easy

Needed these to 'dump' some old home holiday videos onto a computer. Camera has a mono audio output and with these it is easy to provide dual channel than to do in later in editing. No perceptible noise with these and they do the job very well at a most agreeable price point. I anticipate they will last MUCH longer than the video camera and more than a few other technology items I have!
