Volume too low
It is a fun idea but it is very quiet. I'm about to gift it to a relative with less than optimal hearing and I wonder will he be able to hear it at all. In every other way it's okay. Product okay value okay but definitely the volume should be louder.

Almost There, Nuala O'Faolain, 1573222410, Book, Very Good

A compelling follow up to Are You Somebody
Growing up in Ireland in the 70's I knew Nuala's name and may have heard her speak on the radio but knew nothing about her. I inherited 'Are You Somebody' as part of a deceased friend's huge book collection and because the copy was in large print, made it my first to read. I was instantly taken with Nuala's life story and sumptuous writing style. Much of her story took place during the years and on the streets where I myself was struggling to grow up and know myself. I could relate to much of her confusion and misunderstandings in relationships. Her candid baring of her private life shone a light in some dark corners of my own. I couldn't put the book down and felt a loss when it ended. 'Almost There' continues the memoir from what feels like very different time and perspective. It has a more relaxed feel, not so much like a story bursting, insisting to be told. It definitely makes more sense if you've read 'Are You Somebody' first. Read them both, then look for the documentary on her life 'Nuala' (on Vimeo) and listen to her radio interview with Marian Finnucane. You may be hooked, like me.
