Useful features, solid design, good battery life

This torch has an excellent range of light levels - from super-bright to power-sipping low. The controls are pretty intuitive without having a heap of buttons. The ability to lock the button from accidentally turning on while in a bag gives peace of mind that your batteries will be full when you need the torch. The red light works well, and is also adjustable to a very low light level for retaining maximum night vision. The torch takes three standard NiMH rechargeable batteries, which are significantly more cost effective than alkaline batteries in the long term.

Reasonable quality for the price

Picks up items of reasonable weight as described. The aluminium tube had some burrs on one end, but nothing a bit of sandpaper can't fix in seconds. I wouldn't expect anything of greater quality for the price. I got 1x 9mm and 2x 5mm suction caps, when I was supposed to get 1x 9mm, 1x 5mm and 1x 3mm. However, for this price, I couldn't bring myself to rate the product less than 5 stars!
