Rockford P3D2-10 Subwoofer
12 April 2017
Rockford P3D2-10" better than 12"?
The RF P3D2 holds up to the good name Rockford Fosgate has kept for many years because of their commitment to quality materials, honesty in under-rating RMS and peak wattages, and superior sound quality for the seasoned listener. A lot of audiophiles and bass heads think quality bass and low middle frequencies can be obtained only by installing a large subwoofer, 12"-15"-18" or larger. Actually, as many YouTube video professional installers have shown (please see CAF-Car Audio Fabrication, LifeOfPrice, Soundman-CA), the greatest sound for your vehicle depends on the space available in the trunk or backseat/under seat, the type of enclosure and how well it suits your sub and whether it is tuned to the lower 20-45 Hz. Also, what frequencies is your system capable of reproducing with your chosen subwoofer. I propose most vehicles can achieve great bass with a 10" or two 10", three or four 8", or even 6.5" subwoofers installed in the box that "fits". The P3D2-10 is my choice because of its craftsmanship and ability to be pushed, slammed and more. As many have observed, It can take a beating! The 2 ohm fits my needs better than the 4 ohm because I want to share the 2 Channels with another DVC 2 ohm sub (MB Quart DSC 10") rather than bridge the together for maximum wattage. If you have a mono block amp, clearly you may want to avoid this setup as most are rated at 1 or 2 ohms max for one single sub. I gave this subwoofer 5 stars because it A) can hit hard with up to 1000 watts pelted into it. B) it can stay cool under extended woofer, voice coil, and surround excursion. C) it looks stunning in my vertically ported enclosure. D) the sub can produce the punchy lows and even subsonic bass frequencies I desire. E) it cost me much less than another comparable subwoofer brand and upper model. The P3D2 is truly an awesome choice for the car audio enthusiast or certified bass head. Thanks Rockford Fosgate, for showing out once again!
Pioneer TS-A6966R 3-Way 6" x 9" 420 Watts Flush-Mount Car (PAIR) DH416

Pioneer 6X9s put Rockford Fosgate Prime to shame
These speakers simply sing. I even experimented with the 6X9s installed in small truck boxes next to my home theater speakers and hooked up to the receiver. They literally outperformed my bookshelf speakers. Partly because of higher efficiency that can be paired with OEM factory or aftermarket stereos, partly for adequate mid-pass with a "Punch" Response. Partly, because the highs are not drowning out the mids. In other words, this is a full-range speaker with power that doesn't need a whole lot of power to drive it. Quality coupled with the cost, I'm sold! Will buy more.

New Dewalt DCB115 12V & 20V Max Li-ion Battery Charger replaces DCB107 & DCB112

Dewalt D115 solid choice for fast recharges.
It worked the first time; and, it has worked the same every time-fast and easy both to charge and to read the red indicator light. At first, I expected it to turn green, when fully charged (long-time Milwaukee loyalist). Now, I realize it blinks red, then shows a solid red light when charging is complete.
