So good, but not the Patlabor I grew up with.
This is a tricky review.
I had these in a DVD set, both films.
They are terrific sci-fi thrillers, there is no doubt.
They said, it seems different regions have alternate English dubs. Yes, I do prefer a good English dub to subs. I’m in the minority.
Now, the versions I had were dubbed by Manga.
This meant little to me then, but it’s apparent that this release from this region, is not the same dub. From voice cast, to lines and music cues.
It’s an impressive bluray for sure, the picture is amazing, but after having the Manga dub for years on vhs and then DVD, these don’t feel like the same characters.
So, great transfer etc, but for those fans from Australia or the UK like me, beware the alternate English dub.

Self aware, 4th wall breaking fun.
One of the lesser known but more fun adaptations of a Japanese animated series, SPC is inspired lunacy.
The half serious source material is turned into a wacky, self referential, pop culture spouting sitcom.
Poking fun at most of the 1980s and some 90s shows including He-Man, Ninja Turtles, Transformers and Robotech whilst also injecting perfectly timed self aware humour and addressing the viewer directly much like the adult smash Marvel film ‘Deadpool’ does.
Highly recommend for anime, pop culture and comedy fans alike.
Something for everyone.

It's love or hate in Silent Hill
Either you'll get into this film's surreal, dirty world or you won't.
To explain what or why would give away too much of the elements that make it work and would give away threads you should be following.
Is the acting top tier? No. It's serviceable, the exception being a couple of pivotal Evil roles.
Tonnes of atmosphere, ghoulish creations and a feeling of dread, originality and surprise missing from much of the horror genre.
