Low quality version ball and socket joints.
Ordered two, and both items are on the very lower quality of other similar "octopus" tripods I have.
Inconsistent ball and socket joint results from loose to rough movement, ball joints easily broke off socket, and most sockets are cracked or cracked easily. Sprayed with Teflon with no resolution. Good only for set and don't move table placements.
Quick release mechanism worked fine.

Great Machine for $, ahead of it's time, too bad all gone!
the good:
Speakers are loud and clear
Screen: bright, and even backlight, with minimal off angle distortion. easy on eye when reading.
Charging separate from usb: so you can charge and use usb hub/mouse/keyboard/sound/ethernet!
Bad:
Rotation disabled:
could be better:
include OTG cable (but they are cheap)
software super bloated and make it slower than my nexus 5!!!
note: I would by another one under $400... looks like large tablets are going to be low demand for a while, even though they are the perfect complement to the future of IoT devices.
