  The item was never sent. My messages to the seller went unanswered. I finally contacted eBay, and then the seller got back to me. The seller was kind and apologized profusely. When asked if I still wanted the item, I asked for the shipping to be waived. He indicated he would have liked to do that, but there was not an option on his end. Despite me not wanting to cancel altogether and get refunded, that is what the seller did and did not offer to "re-sell" it to me after all that.
