Strange and interesting...
A longtime fan and follower of Carlos Castaneda, I wasn't sure what to expect from Armando Torres' book. I am impressed and grateful that he wrote it. The first 1/3 of the book is further conversations with CC and, as someone who is familiar with CC's books and heard him speak at workshops I feel Armando's accounts are truthful - and valuable to follower of Tensegrity.
The remainder of the book is dedicated to Armando's experiences with a group of sorcerer-healers in Mexico. He describes commonplace and extraordinary occurrences in a humble, non 'Me, Me, Me' manner. Not as 'sexy' or dramatic as Carlos' books. Reminds me of listening to Taisha Abelar speak at workshops; down-to-earth, simple descriptions of extraordinary experiences that were somehow even more believable.
Not trying to prove anything or convince anyone. Just a humble, sober description of an extraordinary journey. Thank you Armando Torres!

Not great. Poor quality video.
Adapter is a Fresco Logic USB to VGA converter. VGA is converted to HDMI.
Pros:
Cheap, compact, works - kind of...
Cons:
Finicky with USB 3.0 adapters. Wouldn't work correctly (intermittent screen flashes) with laptop port. Worked better in USB 3.0 hub plugged into laptop port.
Display blanks out for an instant from time to time.
Seems like VGA output - text is blurry. Even though USB & HDMI are digital, text on the screen is blurry, out of focus. Windows shows this device as VGA to HDMI. I suspect it is USB -> VGA -> HDMI.
Strange graphic artifacts on the screen.
Flaky. This morning, after waking laptop from sleep, display was dead. Reinserted adapter, display came back.
I ended up purchasing a used Lenovo Ultra USB 3.0 Dock on EBay which uses Display Link technology. Much better video quality from the HDMI port. And has a 2nd DP video port which I will try. At first I thought it was not working but after I uninstalled the Fresco Logic drivers for this adapter, all was good.
