Quick review

One of my favorite movies. Impossible to delineate the weaving of subconscious imagery with non-linear story telling. Have to see it. Carrey, Dunst, Frodo, Winslet, and Wilkinson at their best. Plus David Cross, who knows no meaning of hierarchy.

Quick opinion

The characters are so natural. The plot plays out so easily. I haven't watched it since I've gotten it, so I can't write much more. The sweetness between the captain and the lady character after the Paris element passes when they're listening to music is so sweet. The simpleness of the movie and the way it captures the rustic as exotic is a great homage to being afraid of what could be lost with the migration to big cities, while the flirting and cafe scene is the juxtaposed appeal of what the city bears to table. Just a great thematic tableset.
