Powerful and fun beat creation tool.
Very intuitive, well thought out and surprisingly deep/capable software/hardware makes it easy to get up and use however you like.
A bit light on real acoustic drum samples but it's ability to also act as a midi controller/export to midi into other virtual instruments opens up a lot of options.
Much more inspiring than clicking out a piano roll -
Great value for what it offers.

A solid choice for most.
Sturdy, made-in-Germany construction (also have a pair of DT880s last a decade+ without issue).
Comfy.
Detailed and moderately boosted bass (<100hz), scooped and slightly lacking mids, bright and clear treble.
Pretty wide sounding for a closed headphone.
Love electronica and shiny studio production, not so good for filthier, sludgier rock/metal where they can turn muddy (DT880's do it better).
"Portable", but you'll still want an amp between your phone to sound best/get enough volume for quiet recordings (check out the Hidisz Sonata DAC USB cable for <$40 USD).
Overall great value for $200 AUD.
