"Emerging Photographer's Dream"
6 of 6 found this helpful I am not a professional Photographer. I bought my first DSLR only two years ago, because I wanted crisper photos of family vacations. Since then I have spent countless hours educating myself watching tutorials and researching equipment. The EOS 1DX showed up on my radar about a year ago, but i could not justify the price against my budding skills. Just recently, however, I decide to take the plunge and, boy, I am glad I did! This camera has fantastic low light capabilities. I used my 1DX this past Christmas to take wonderful candids of my first grandchild without using flash, sometimes bumping the ISO to 10,000. I could not believe my eyes when I download the images to my computer, there was virtually no noise, the photos were crisp and clear. I also love the burst rate this camera is capable of, 14 fps. I left my settings on multiple shots throughout the holidays, so that I would miss a shot because eyes were closed, or mouths were in awkward positions, or hands were flailing. I was alway able to find at least one frame i liked with most every shot. Love, love, love, this camera!!!
