Decent banana plugs if cable is not very thick

Very good quality banana plugs. Fit tightly which needs a bit of force to push it into the amplifier. Rather have tight fit than loose fit. That's my opinion. Be careful, these plugs will not take very thick gauge cables.

Excellent blu-ray and Media player

Blu-ray playback - Fast loading & impressive video quality. DVD upscaling is also impressive. Media player - It plays ALL the video & audio formats I have. It is a superb media player. Included Apps - Plenty of Apps came with the player. Many FREE movie sites as well. Furthermore, you get SBS on Demand, ABC iView & Channel Ten catch up. You can download Sideview Apps to your smart phone or ipad & use it as a remote is a good bonus. Negative - It only comes with RCA digital output & no optical output (optical is the more common digital connection on HDMI-less equipment). Deal breaker - As this player does not have a display panel, you can't see the track number you are playing when you replay CD or FLAC format. You have to turn on the TV display to view this. Most inconvenient if I connect the HDMI out to my surround sound amplifier & play back through the system. Wished Sony could update Sideview App so that a status display could be shown on the smart phone. Not a problem with video play back as you have to turn the TV on anyway & pressing the display button on the remote would show the status on the TV screen. For the price, it is almost incredible value.
