Exceptional value in an 85mm/1.4 lens
Very sharp - perhaps not up to Zeiss or Sony G standards but pretty wow in the centre to near the edges from say f/2.8 Very slight vignette at f/1.4 Nice bokeh - really important in a fast portrait lens Heavy but well balanced on my A77ii - feels pretty good in my hand Uses camera battery quite fast

Using Edible Silver for temporary Silverplate Repairs
If you have a piece of presentation silverplate where its look is marred by the plating damaged in a small area, the cost of re-plating is often vastly more than the intrinsic value of the item. Although the colour will never be quite the same, and we are really talking about a compromise solution, I have used edible silver leaf to make such a piece more presentable. Simply use masking tape around the area to be touched up, use a spray contact glue, pick up the silver leaf on a soft artist's brush and gently transfer it to the silverware. Use the brush to gently press the leaf onto the glue and use a finger to press it flat and smooth. You can repeat this process a number of times to build up the silver layer, but even with say ten sheets, the depth of silver is still tiny, compared to the plated silver. This will not cope with vigorous cleaning but is more effective than you might expect.

Excellent value. Musical. Light. great for travel.
I chose these speakers, as travel speakers for my laptop, because they have had fairly good reviews for sound quality, while being quite light. In fact their sound quality, while not approaching hi-fi (my main speakers retail for over $3000 so I don't expect hi-fi for under $50), is substantially better than their price would suggest, and put many more expensive speakers to shame. I suspect you would need to pay well over $100 to get laptop speakers which are better. They are quite musical. Bass is surprisingly satisfactory. Classical piano sound sounds a bit harsh. Stereo imagery is very good (though no depth to the sound stage of course). They come with a very travel-friendly, light and sturdy bag.
