BestBuy Planned Obsolescence
Though a good value, absolutely no access to firmware (ROM) for to restore or upgarde this expensive device. Why use Geek Squad when they barely know what they're doing and charge $$$ to tell one what is already known?

Manufacture from China has a long way to go to embrace Demming standards -
Opening up these sets tells you what little quality of manufacture you are getting for a considerable cost: little pieces of tape used instead of proper small/inexpensive brackets; metallic tape used to ground sensitive circuit boards; components that just make minimum requirement - as long as they make it through the warranty period. Demming would have had nightmares about the quality dedicated to manufacturing many of these sets e.g., Vizio, Quantum View, Element. However, the good news - Sharp, Sony, Pioneer still lead the pack.
Manufacture from China has a long way to go to embrace Demming standards - the philosophy appears to be - Let the Customers Do the QC!!

necessary 4 OTG Work
Necessary when on-site upgrading NPO's who only have CD drives in their older, albeit still useful, desktops. About us: About us: Our focus is R3 (Recovery, Rebuild, Reuse). We rebuild Tablets-Netbooks-Laptops to gift to needy children & the disabled via NPO's (Non-Profit Org's) for OTG, to connect and learn; 2800 gifted. Our hope is to make a positive difference for those in need. My disabled dragon son QC tests and ships our gifts through NPO's to the needy, and has the difficult responsibility of managing our small profit center (See below). I fund this work with my veteran's benefit + working capital from sales of high-end tablets in our small profit center. This model fits "Capitalism for a Cause;" a concept I developed wherein the profit center funds its Not-4-Profit partner, creating Nature's perfect symmetry, a circle, of self-reliance.
