GOOD VALUE. Steady as You go. Brother DCP-J572DW.
Bought a new Brother DCP-J572DW as an extra printer to go alongside my older Brother MFC-J6520DW, which was one of the best-selling Brother printers ever, and certainly one of the cheapest to run, (though large) but this one was bought due to its small size and because I had heard it was efficient for scanning. The good scanning turned out to be true, as did the neatness, and whilst it is still one of the cheaper current printers to run, (like most Brothers), the ink actually costs nearly twice the price of that for the old MFC.
The new printer is not nearly as fast as the old one, though quite acceptable for most private uses, and be warned that it will not accept Fast Printing as set through the computer rather than in its own settings. There is no fast printing available by any method, and trying to do it through the computer's settings caused it to slow down to a crawl, and the only way out was to download the driver from Windows 10 rather than that on its supplied CD. This worked, but I learned a lesson.
The DCP was good value from AO because of one of those 20% off vouchers on eBay, so its actual price was in the Seventies (£), plus £5 for 24-hour delivery. Glad I did it, but it would be unfair to expect the speed of the MFC, which even second-hand is still fetching (for a good one) more than I actually paid for the DCP-J572DW brand new.
I just wonder whether I should have bought one model higher in spec, still Brother, which is apparently faster. The tiny non-touch-sensitive screen made setup fiddly & long-winded, and took some puzzling out. Touchscreen much simpler. Good value, though.

BROTHER MFC-J6920DW. Good value now superseded. Bulky.
Collection in person no problems and in original box. I find models MFC-J6920DW and MFC-J6520DW the best printers for my purposes, BUT you do have to know the models' quirks. From time to time both of these printers refuse to turn on. Solution is to unplug,wait a couple of minutes, then follow the tip to overcome the problem which can easily be found on Youtube, so I will not explain at length here. Suffice to say, in most cases the tip works, though occasionally needs repeating before the printer switches on.
Printing is good, with useful facility to set machine for automatic two-sided printing, saving paper. Can be set to fast print. Copying is fairly good, but rather slow. Scanning is fine. There are many cheap versions of the ink cartridges available, some good. Setup is fairly easy once you have done it first time, but a little complicated initially. Online manual readily available from Brother, and comprehensive.

Enya; Watermark CD
I love Enya. This is the best of all Enya albums. I had it on tape before,and strangely enough it walked, along with some of my other favourites! Buying it on CD was a natural upgrade. There were many albums since, but none equalled Watermark!
