Apparently Auspost is still our first domestic shipping supplier choice, and they increased prices for their domestic Parcels and Express Post, as well as International letters, parcels and express products and services on 4th of April, 2011. Mainly be used by eBay sellers are prepaid parcels 500g and 3kg, for 500g they increased the price from $6.30 to $6.60 and for 3kg from $10.70 to $11.20. However they give us another option, which called clickandsend, it has few advantages, firstly it is CHEAPER, for 500g is $5.65 (saved 14.3%, flat-rate satchel included) and for 3kg is $9.56 (saved 14.6%, flat-rate satchel included); Secondly it is TRACEABLE, and also it is CONVENIENT (you can just manage all stuff online, such as printing address lables, pay the postage and etc).

So how to use this service, initially to start you need have an active eBay account, clickandsend account (you could find the website on Auspost website or google it) and you need purchase some  auspost flat-rate satchels ($0.15 for 500g and $0.21 for 3kg) or  auspost flat-rate boxes. Now you are ready to SEND, you login your clickandsend account, it has an instruction to teach you link your eBay account to you clickandsend account. Once you connect your eBay account to your clickandsend account, you sold items which have been paid will be in a box on top of the page, then you need choose which item you are going to send, select it. You will see your information will be loaded into "SEND FROM" form on the top left, the customer delivery information will be auto loaded into "SEND TO" form, some item information will be loaded into "ITEM DETAILS" form on the right hand side. Here is IMPORTANT part, you need enter the satchel "Product Code" which you have purchase from Auspost into "ITEM DETAILS" form, then you can choose which service you like "Express Post" or "Parcel Post", the system will calculate flat-rate price for you. Next step is payment option you can either select "pay now with couriers pick up" or "pay later at post office".

For this service, there is a disadvantage. So far it is not very popular, even so post office staffs are not aware it, you might will have some trouble to start with it. However clickandsend is kind of logistics management future for small business online, especially for serious eBayers, so start sooner is better than later.
