Alot of sellers dont mind if you return items that are defective (broken, missing something, seems unstitched in clothing, etc.) But PLEASE READ the fine print!!
MOST sellers offer to replace or fefund you your money AT YOUR COST. There are no rules via eBay saying that the seller can not, therefore, the buyer MUST make themselves known to the sellers terms and conditions of sale. If there are not any terms or conditions listed in the sellers listings then the buyer must take it upon themselves to ask the seller about these circumstances.
If the seller mentions that the buyer must return the faulty/defective item for a refund or replacement then the buyer is to pay the costs involved. including return posting the item. The seller may only refund/replace once the item is in the sellers posession once again.
