Spring has Sprung…Yay! That means Summer is just a few short months away, but it also means showing some skin…t-shirts, singlet tops, shorts, skirts and the dreaded bathers – Bikini’s and Bordies!
Now is the time to come out of hibernation, get outside to exercise and follow these Bikini Body tips to make sure you are in great shape for Summer, the Beach & Holidays!

Exercising outdoors has loads of benefits for training:
It’s more challenging – dealing with different surfaces, inclines and the elements
It’s better for the lungs – breathing in fresh air, rather than bacteria infested air conditioned gyms!
You will work your core more – uneven surfaces means you have to ensure you are engaging your core area throughout the whole workout!
It will help to energise you – being outside is so refreshing and just gives you that extra motivation!
You will get a Vitamin D hit – helping you maintain strong and healthy bones by retaining calcium and giving us a healthy glow!
You have unlimited variety in how you workout, there are always different things to look at, rather than the same old gym equipment and walls!
What equipment is perfect for outdoor workouts?
Boxing gear is fab to train with a friend
  • A Yoga mat
  • Hand weights
  • Kettlebells
  • Resistance bands
  • Park equipment
  • Ropes
 
The 10 minute Bikini Body Workout:
  • 1 min squats
  • 1 min push ups
  • 1 min burpees
  • 1 min lunges
  • 1 min tricep dips
  • 1 min mountain climbers
  • 1 min squat jumps
  • 1 min upright rows with hand weights – link to hand weights
  • 1 min skipping – link to skipping rope page
  • 1 min plank

Do this workout for either 1, 2 or 3 rounds – depending on time commitments, but no matter how long you workout for, make sure you give it 100%
This is a great all over body workout, to maximise fat burning, toning up and building strength to give you confidence to strut your stuff in your summer gear!
