Even though you provide great services & products, it is necessary to learn and put into action how to drive the potential customers directly to your eBay store and hopefully convert into sales. eBay provides many tools that you can use to promote your store (" About Me Page" etc)
Store Page (

Provide precise and concise product information such as measurement, return policy and postage options and fees (due to information overflow, it is very time consuming to get the right information online) so that customers can efficiently find what they need. In the meantime, it is worthwhile to make your eBay store trustable by providing high quality of customer service etc.
Write Reviews & Guides (

Why is this important? Not only that you can share your knowledge and experience about selling on eBay, also you can insert links in the guide to bring the readers to your store, About Me Page or the other Reviews & Guides written by you. Also select the keywords in your headings carefully as that will help increase the traffic with the Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
This can definitely increase the exposure to your store. You can build a free blog on MSN Space, Blogger or MySpace. However, you can also consider building it on WordPress which will gain more views on the net. Regarding developing a blog, I will suggest using a simple format and background as when you upload more and more photos, you would definitely want to keep the page as simple as possible. Plain background can definitely make the uploaded photos more standout. Again this is only my own preference that I want to share with you here.
Why not make a good use of free advertising channels - Facebook, Twitter, Google Store Connector and Email. It is FREE and that's important for the startup business. It is crazy not to have a Facebook fan page / Twitter account when you are in business. Youtube would be one of the most popular channel to promote your store.
