The dial gauge is crudely made but what do you expect for this money. When zeroing the dial, it feels like it's full of sand-but who cares-it works. The readings are repeatable, and the mechanism seems smooth and free of stiction. The mag base could do with a little more clamping force however it is compact enough to not get in the way. Maybe if I ever become a master machinist and I'm working to tenths of a thou. I would think about a swiss made DTI, but until then I'm happy with this.

The dial gauge itself works well just the stand let’s it down be careful using the midpoint adjuster as it can flex when it’s not tight but other than that does the job
