When you compare to a quality product like Thule, then they stand up pretty well. The alloy bars are of a reasonable strength, but the mounting feet let things down a bit. No built-in hex key in the endcaps, and the supplied one can be a bit fiddly to engage with the adjusters. The real letdown is the locking endcaps which are very poor. I didn't even bother fitting them as they were a poor fit anyway

This product looks OK and is certainly at the lower end of the price range, but I felt it was a mistake to have bought it. The end units which have the keys give the feeling that they will break if used too much, they show signs of developing splits in the plastic due to the force applied to turn the key. Once they break than the whole product is unusable. The rubber on top which provides the cushion for any load is flappy and comes off unless it is tucked under the end pieces. Those rubber top strands are likely to come off easily with any serious use. If you plan to put these on your care once and rarely take them off then they will probably suit, and are a good price. If you plan to put them on and off multiple times then they will probably not live up to your expectations.

Bars themselves are good and seem strong and fit for purpose. Certainly good value. Plastic caps that fit ends and contain locks are poorly machined and required work to get them to fit. They are flimsy and make putting the bars on and off difficult. If you want to put them on and leave them there they will do the job. If you want to take them on and off a lot, you may not find them the best available. (Fitted to a Forester 2016 ).

Great stuff. Plastic cap ends are bit average quality.

I have been using this for 6 months or so and am really happy with it. Have carried kayaks and heavy loads of timber and it has been rock solid every time.
