Device works OK. The manual includes reference to USB/SATA converter as a standard supply with the drive. However, you have to buy it separate. The seller should've highlight this in the description of the item, so a buyer takes care of the purchasing USB/SATA adapter at the time of the purchase of the SSD drive.

Great price for SSD (as of May 2016) - no fuss installation to my 2010 MacBook Pro - MacBook running quicker, quieter and cooler than ever. I have had absolutely no problems with this drive. Thoroughly recommended.

I'm a layman, no personal speed comparison provided. All I can review is how this drive felt to me. I have an ageing T60, Core 2 T72 at 2GHz, with the original 2.5" HDD running Lubuntu. My HDD gets quite warm (I run it 24/7, I assume you can guess why). Installation was a breeze (I've never done this before), basically, a simple swap. My T60 is so much more responsive, and is running cool as, no more hot spot, despite not taking full advantage of the SATA III interface. Yes, I do recommend this SSD
