The Sugden family saga continues and life on the farm is gradually changing towards more modern days. The men's long hair and wide ties compliment the young ladies' shag haircuts and mini-skirts, and I am getting very used to the article-dropping Yorkshire accents: "Take dog outside now." " Go to barn and see if your Granddad is ready for tea." The core family is very engaging, with two hunky young sons, an irascible character of a grandfather, a no-nonsense mother who keeps everything running smoothly, and a plain, dutiful daughter and son-in-law. The extended characters gather at The Wool Pack pub for a quick pint and a nice chin-wag and the reason for Jack Sugden's new wealth is discovered. A hobo becomes Jack's man- servant of sorts, living with him at the old mill and causing even more speculation. All in all, it's a nice little escape to the simpler days.Read full review
