This is essentially identical to most of the Chinese Android head units. Each seller tends to have their own minor variations based around essentially identical hardware. I chose this unit because it has a rotary knob for volume. So much easier than up/down buttons in the vehicle! The unit has a Rockchip PX5 processor on board, 8-core and it is perfectly fast enough. The 4MB of RAM is also adequate, and the internal Flash is 64GB (of which just over 11GB are not available to you: used by the on-board firmware, so you get around 52-53GB). It has relatively little bloatware on it. The API is v29, so it is Android 10. It comes with no navigation on-board, but I installed iGO from the play store. For Australia, about $AU40 extra is needed for the software, maps, TTS voice and speed camera data (all from the play store/in-app purchasing). The device itself performs well - I measured the radio on and iGO running at around 900ma-1100ma (12.5V) and when you put the device in standby the current consumed drops to between 2 and 3ma. Which is a very nice result. It comes up from standby virtually instantly - the 1 second they claim is accurate. The passcode for the "factory settings" is 126 and you can change the boot logo and other things. Be careful in doing so! I have not as yet booted into recovery or anything deep and meaningful - it is working just fine and I expect it will continue to do so. It is an "MTCE" type device, for those who wish to play with it. I run the FCC launcher, which works brilliantly on it. Highly recommended. The standard launcher is OK (and maybe better than average). Like all these units - the AM/FM radio is very poor in comparison to a standard vehicle radio. Using an active antenna is not optional - you must do that. With the booster in, the FM radio works very well. Overall it's quite a good device.Read full review

This is basically a fast, Android 9 tablet that looks great. It doesn't have Android Auto or Apple Car Play without buying the extra dongle, but why would you when you can install any app you want directly from the Play Store? The wifi reception is fast and stable so you can hotspot your phone or even download maps / music while in range of your home wifi then access it when on the road. Hotspotting your phone means Google Maps can have live traffic. I'm no audiofile but the quality seems fine - way better than the factory unit it replaced. The GPS works really well with the aerial that comes with it - just stuck it to the dash right under the windscreen. The reverse cam integrated easily and the steering wheel controls were easy to map so everything works there too. I tried the external mike that shipped with it and it was fine, but I spliced in the car's existing external mike and that's worked well. My only complaint was that the radio reception wasn't great, but then I discovered my car had a small aerial with a signal amplifier. Turns out this unit has a lead for that too so once connected, the reception is excellent. In summary, limitless features because it's native Android, way cheaper than the big brands and boots up faster. Happy to recommend.Read full review
