Sometimes I wonder how a novelist can concoct plots in his head, then carry them throughout the novel and finally culminate them all to a point of climax that gives the reader a sense of satisfaction. Ken Follett has done this in many occasions, and A DANGEROUS FORTUNE (1993), is an example. The novel is simply superb, original and well written. One thing I liked about it that the chapters were closely knitted, in other words, the conclusion of the previous chapter was a basis for the beginning of the next. I never lost the trend of the story, and as I traversed from chapter to chapter, I didn’t want the book to end.
