If you're not gaming, the GeForce 210 makes a well-priced, power-efficient way to add extra monitors or hardware video decoding to a PC. The 210 sports nVidia's complete PureView HD hardware acceleration engine, adding fluid 1080p playback to those machines unable to cut the mustard, specifically Core 2 Duo, Atom and older PCs. It also provides multiple outputs, making adding extra displays to your computer quick and easy (ports vary depending on manufacturer). An additional benefit of low-power GPUs is that you can sometimes find silent operating units, such as the ASUS one I purchased here. This card has no active cooling fan - just a large heatsink. This is a great feature for HTPCs (Home Theater PCs), where extra fan noise can be detrimental. Be aware that some silent cards require extra space for the heatsink (so sometimes use two slots worth of space) - this usually isn't an issue for 210 because it only pulls about 32W. In short, an excellent way to improve the video playback of your PC, add more monitors, and enjoy a casual game at low settings. Enjoy!Read full review
