I think this is the best deal I have ever made on ebay. I spent $245 on this monitor and it came with NO DEAD PIXELS. I have never experimented with a monitor with this depth of resolution before, and I was and still am amazed. This monitor is capable of four HD720 windows sized properly on this one screen. I can monitor four horse tracks at the same time and never miss a thing. It is also amazing for data entry where one paginates data on one side and fills in the spreadsheet/database on the other. Color is very good with a bit of bleed-through of the LED backlight around the edges, especially noticeable in a darker environment. Thus 4 of 5 stars. The monitor tilts well and can hold position at any tilt or elevation. To swivel the monitor from landscape to portrait, one must fully elevate and tilt the monitor to avoid dinging the corner. Also, I did not notice a USB hub on the monitor. Due to these, 4 of 5 on features. I love, love, love this monitor and getting it for half the price of anything that could possibly compare was the most amazing part. Pulling the trigger on this deal was the easiest part. This monitor is easily worth twice what I got it for, but I would have to consider the finances before grabbing it at that price. The monitor is heavy, solid. Moving it around, which I do from time to time, isn't like packing around a netbook. It takes some oomph and consideration for placement. My used monitor came with everything that would be included in new packaging. It's funny, but I stumbled across this monitor because my desktop (and coincidentally, my laptop) had VGA (whatever) and DisplayPort. I researched DisplayPort and discovered that the technology has been around way too long to be as obscure as it is today. HD pales in comparison. And to have purchased two units by coincidence that both have this technology prior to knowledge of its existence is pure luck; or perhaps I was fated to find this monitor because of that fate. Either way, I am not disappointed. P.S. I haven't bothered with the speakers on this (the product description says they are built-in) because I have some small desktops that sound just fine. Also, this monitor very rarely doesn't sync with the video output of the computer (don't know from which end of the cable the problem originates). A quick power cycle of the monitor always corrects the issue.Read full review
I have one of these superb monitors already and just acquired a twin for video editing. This monitor has high enough resolution for most applications and color rendition is good enough for most of us. I will slap my ColorMunki on the pair. The PB278Q is a reasonably priced option for high quality work for those of us on a budget.

Using this monitor with 2012 Mac Mini. Purchased a mini display port to display port cable through amazon to get full resolution. If not, and you choose to use hdmi, the display becomes enlarged/expanded. The monitor has excellent image quality. The speakers are not great but that is what externals are for. No USB ports but that would not be deal breaker for me. My main criteria for judging this monitor are: picture quality, full resolution, screen size, response time and reliability. It satisfies those conditions to the fullest, so I am very pleased. Overall, excellent monitor, worth the $299 I spent on it.
For a model that is a few years old, it still displays a great picture
