Buying a used monitor is a bit of a gamble, however in this case I am pleased with winning this auction. The monitor image is very good- sharpness and clarity are excellent, and the built-in speakers are better than my newer Asus monitor's speakers. Colour is a bit off, but well within expectation of a unit that may be a few years old. No dead pixels, and plenty responsive enough for what I use it for which is mainly displaying documents, programs and occasionally a video.

I would like to warn people who would buy used monitors. It maybe a good deal but you should know it is used. There are some color fading area like this one I found some areas with pinkish stripe pattern running through left side spreading about 20% area of whole screen. It displays movies or games just fine. Perhaps most of us would not notice this slight fading. But if you are sensitive about color fading or monitor performance, you should avoid used monitors since you never know how the previous owner used. If it was used occasionally by personal use or it was used in the bar or restaurant 24 hours a day for years. I only paid $99 for this so I decided to keep it until I buy a new and big monitor to replace this. I am happy with this purchase so far.

I purchased this item for a number of reasons. One, To upgrade from a standard 19 inch flat screen to this wonderful "full backlight ledlcd". Two, it's easier to have two pages open side by side and still be able to read both. Three, It has "PIP" Picture In Picture from two or more different inputs, now it is possible to work on a server, and an other PC with one monitor. This is in my opinionis a great disdlay for gaming, I.T. duties, and anything else you want. With up to 4 inputs availabe. Four, The price for a Display of this quality and with these features is a bargin if you ask me. Asus is a well known company. I am running an Asus Motherboard, and Video card so this was a very nice adition.
These monitors are awesome. The seller was extremely open about the information on these as they were refurbished, only one if them had a dead pixel and I think I can deal with having only one dead pixel. I am using 3 of these monitors for a 3x1 eyefinity display, and it's awesome. My total resolution gaming is now 6048x1080. I can't say enough about the monitor. It has basically any connection you could want, (even vga lol) and I love that it is VESA compatible so you can mount it. I would buy it again, and if you have the means, I would say buy it.
I have had good success with Asus monitors, I have a 24" one also. The screen is clear and sharp, controls are easy to use. The 27" is a nice big screen. I use it for gaming, no lag or shadows. It's really a great monitor and at a good price.
