Author Biography
May Timperley was born in Yorkshire. She left home at the age of sixteen to work as an engineering draftswoman at a firm in Manchester. A survivor of the Manchester Blitz, she got married and had two sons - she is now the proud grandmother of four grandchildren. Her hobbies include walking, aquaerobics, croquet, oil painting and embroidery. May is also a keen traveller and recently went on an environmental holiday to Iceland to observe dolphins, puffins and whales in their natural habitat. With a love of dogs and a passion for writing, shortly after her retirement, May set about writing Sam the Spaniel, which she is pleased to finally have in print! She currently resides in the historic market town of Altrincham, Cheshire.
