I use it on a microscope but will eventually use it for macro photography as well. On microscope it is very good, nice flat focus plane, nice resolution and contrast. No brainer upgrade for std achromat IMO.

For the price this is a bargain. Sharp almost out to the corners. Can be used on full frame camera censors with 130-160 mm extension. Fairly good color and contrast.

Super sharp lens and incredibly inexpensive. I mounted it to my Canon Bellows and it is as sharp or sharper than my MPE-65 which cost me over 1K. I know it is comparing apples to oranges, but if you know what you are doing and you are focus stacking this is a killer way to get to 4X.

I just tested this lens for macro work (attached to a camera via a bellows), it does produce good contrast and a fairly flat field of view. It is a good buy, particularly being rather inexpensive.

Good lens for the money. Working distance is enough. also good contrast and resolution. I recommend it to macro photographers. Attached a stack which is made with this lens, check it (lonepal)
