Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Pedals
I recently upgraded from my old Iron Cobra that was very reliable but had seen some serious wear. I say upgraded as even though the Iron Cobra is a great pedal the axis is in a different league. The direct drive is very responsive and takes some getting used to after a using a conventional pedal for years. It takes some time to dial all the settings in just right as well. The longboard has a neat little setting to adjust the 'length' which adjusts the pivot point of the drive system which is great for getting the right balance between responsiveness and leverage/power. With the sonic hammers especially you can get it to a point where a twitch like movement can produce a lot of power. After an hour or 2 of tweaking I was able to get the pedal set up to where I could get fast and powerful strokes with minimal effort and movement although I was having to use muscles more on the front of my shin as opposed to engaging my hips and using more of my thighs like I was used to with the iron cobra when doing higher speed double kick. Overall I'm able to play a lot faster and more accurately, you can single kick blast for days at ridiculous speeds on the longboard. The only main issue is its easy to go out of time when you are used to heavier clunkier pedals.Read full review
