In 1960, when this album was originally released, both Bing Crosby and Louis Armstrong had achieved the status of living legend. This date is nonetheless a thoroughly enjoyable, easygoing meeting of the minds (and voices). Crosby's mellow, sly croon and Armstrong's spirited, raspy growl make for a matchless combination, and they're ably supported by the clever, bracing arrangements of Billy May.
