The effects are as good if not better than the other brands that I have tried. Here are the shortcomings; the lettering on the controls is small. The controls do not have detent positions making it difficult to adjust in a low light environment . The LED on light is blinding making reading control positions very difficult. If you are going to use this on a gig, bring a flashlight. It is a good effect, with a little tweaking you can make a 12 string sound or duet type of leads.

I get concerned when I hear bad reviews on many Behringer products. I truly believe that for whatever reason their price automatically causes some peoples ears to not hear what is there. It would seem that the price alone causes strange and bias opinions. This pedal is flat out amazing, (at any price range) and when I hear people say, I don’t get this setting or that setting that tells me they have not been at it very long. I am going on 30 years of playing, over 20 of them for a living. This Harmonizer, pitch shifter and drop tuner is far better than most on the market, it is cleaner and more articulate than my Eventide H3000, as it should be considering the level of technology, but people will still pay over $500 for that H3000. It blows my Boss PS-5 completely out of the water, and it is more articulate and again clearer then my Morpheus Droptune, not to mention the Droptune cost me over $120 and does even less then the US600, a lot less. Buy the Behringer and be quiet. If you feel you halve to hide it, don’t tell people you bought it, lie to them put it in an empty Boss shell if it makes you feel better, but be honest with yourself, this is by far a much more superior processer then most, anywhere in any price range, in reality you could not touch Pitch processing like this for under a $1000 it truly is that good, (for your guitar not your voice that’s a completely different ball park) for the price of the Boss PS-6 you could buy this pedal and an expression pedal put money in your pocket, and do everything you could ever do with a guitar harmonizer imaginable, and do it better than the Boss.Read full review
Better than you might expect. This is a very decent clone of the Boss pitch shifter/harmonizer series. Duplicates all the important functionality. I find that the harmonizing functions "needs" at least 1.5amps available. Primarily to keep tracking faithful. Harmony is two voices max. The Detune is what I primarily use it for, the VH sound.

I bought this pedal because it is literally the cheapest one on the market. I play mostly experimental and improvised music and I bought it to use with a microphone and occasionally a guitar. It's not fantastic, but it does the job. Some of the settings are more useful than others. I personally like the "trem bar" and the "harmonist." I'm not really sure the point of the "detune" function and the "flutter" seems a bit nichey. There are occasional clips and pops in the harmonization that you probably wouldn't get with a more expensive pedal, but I don't really mind for the kind of music that I play. It's pretty intuitive and anyone should be able to figure out how to use it within an hour or so of messing around. I love the Behringer pedals because they basically emulate whatever Boss is doing for a fraction of the price. I hate that they're in cheap plastic casings because I'm sure I'll eventual crush the thing with my boot someday, but you get what you pay for. I haven't actually used Boss's version, so I can't really compare, but if you're just looking for a fun pedal to mess around with and you're not trying to be a professional, I would go for this one.Read full review
Most people's reviews for behringer go something like "poor quality, but great for the money." My friend has multiple behringer pedals and none of them have broken. This is my first behringer pedal, and I have to say that it's better than the PS-6, which I wasn't very impressed with. The tracking is much better with chords. It can sound kind of computery when you get to 2 octaves up, but I think of it as something else to use creatively. The detune function on the PS-6 might be better than this, and it doesn't do three part harmonies. But for $45, you can buy about three of them for the price of one ps-6 and get four part harmonies, especially since they all come with a dry output.
