The blue snowball mic is a great budget mic. The sound is good quality and the build is nice and solid. The stand is a little flimsy and windows ten doesn't like communicating with it, but you just have to go into privacy, and disable it and enable it to get it going.

I bought this mike for desktop videoconferencing. Using standard desktop mikes, remote participants were struggling to understand what was said at a location with a group of 6 people. Prior to using the Blue Snowball in a real conference, with vastly improved results, I tested it in omnidirectional mode, with two people talking simultaneously and making incidental noise (slamming doors, rustling paper). From another room I experienced excellent sound quality. The mike separated each persons speech from the other and from incidental noise. Hence each person was clearly understandable. Also, the excellent audio quality of the signal from the mike facilitated audio compression by the desktop conferencing software, thus reducing demands on network bandwidth.
I bought this to use for music composition, podcasting and such, and it's worked really well. installation was straight forward, and simple USB plug in. Gr8 m8 I r8 8/8
My son thinks it is great and it has been just what he needed. It is great for him when he designing things for the computer
