i'm absolutely hooked on this baby !!..wouldn't sell / trade for anything else. SO user friendly..up and jamming / recording very quickly. It's the only unit i've been using in uploading my songs on YouTube, soundcloud, myspace, bandcamp...HIGHLY recommend the BOSS BR-80 to any aspiring musician. You'll be glad you bought it - probably wish you'd had gotten it earlier. !!

Great little unit i didnt realize it was actually 8 tracks. Its even great for a nice little practice headphone amp it has tons of nice sounding guitar patches with drums even. Takes a bit to learn how to navigate threw the menues but once you get the hang of that your golden.

You can record 8 tracks with 64 total virtual tracks...only 8 can be played back at once, but you can choose any of the 8 virtual tracks on each track...hence you can in theory record 64 tracks and recover them uploading them and mix in your computer DAW...good guitar effects good drum patterns....battery life is dismal... good for small fingernail trimmed hands....

I HAVE THE EARLIER VERSION OF THE BOSS BR. THE BOSS BR -80,IS A LITTLE HARDER TO NAVIGATE,BUT DELIVERS THE SAME GOOD RECORDINGS AS THE EARLIER BR. IT TAKES A WHILE FOR IT TO WARM UP. ADJUSTING INPUT VOLUME WAS A LITTLE STRANGE, AND THE THE THREE LEVELS OF RECORDING OPTIONS ARE NEW TO ME. I LIKE THAT THE BOSS BR-80 EXCEPTS LARGER CAPACITY MEMORY CARDS. I ALSO LIKE, THAT IT RECORDS 8 TRACKS. I LOOKED EVERY WHERE FOR A CASE TO PUT THE BR-80 IN BUT COULDN'T FIND ANY. THE BR-80 HAD NO POWER ADAPTER, BUT I'AM ABLE TO USE THE ONE I HAVE FOR MY OTHER EARLIER BR .
