I am new to metal detecting and just purchased a Bounty Hunter Gold Digger. I opened the box, assembled the detector, put batteries in it and started scanning my yard. Within 3 minutes I found my first coin (1964 Nickel) about 2 inches below the surface. In about an hours time I found 16 coins in my yard, including 2 Pennies from the 1940s. I am very pleased with this detector!

Bought mine off EBay used and it does the job. It just flat works! Mine came missing one (of two) battery cover. (no biggy, used a little piece of duct tape, works fine). Very pleased. I spent a whopping $25.05 on it total and that included shipping. NICE ! ...FYI: I also have two more bounty hunters. A Time Ranger and a QX, but those are fancy.....

I've only given a quick test run on a few coins that I planted in the backyard when I got it's couple weeks ago. Seemed to work good for a lower end inexpensive metal detector. The real test will come when it gets used for real, but I'm guessing it'll do just fine for beach combing. For around $60 I think it's a good value, 1 found watch or ring and it'll pay itself off

Great value for the money. lightweight, adjustable and easy to use. I would highly recommend this detector to everyone, of all ages. Personal experience and testing- Finds nails, pull tabs about 6'' deep. Railroad spike about 8-10''. Old metal 3' wide septic cap about 1 1/2'. Only complaint is that the coil is not detachable but for the price this is a great detector.

This is a good basic metal detector that I recommend. The detector came much quicker than I thought it would. It is a basic detector, meaning you do not have to practice for days to learn how to use it. Thanks!
