I played the Ping Eye irons in the 90's, I don't know why I ever changed to other brands. Ping makes the easiest irons to hit!!!!! High, long and straight!!!!!

Previously demo'ed these clubs at the course and knew what I was getting. Combined with the KBS Tour shafts, they are suprisingly smooth. The lofts on these clubs are stronger towards the 7-PW end, with the pitching wedge being 45 degrees. I hit these the same distance as the same lofted clubs in Taylor Made clubs, except these are so much easier to hit. Mishits towards the heel or toe still go 90-95% of the way to towards the target and if your alignment is correct, you're a chip and a putt away from the hole. My only warning is that they're so easy to hit, that they'll cover up any swing issues you may have and you may develop bad habits in the long run. For me, these are well worth the investment and due to their ease or use, I dropped 10 strokes immediately from my game. I only play once every week or two, and do not have time to work on my game, so I have up the easy-to-control clubs for these point-and-shoot clubs. For me, 120 yards and in, I hit my pitching wedge within 15 feet every time and often end up 5-10 feet out, birdie time :) The clubs hit nice and high and if you use soft balls, they'll be right next to the ball mark.Read full review
Having used and loved Ping Anser irons for the past 2 years, I jumped at the opportunity to buy the G20 irons for my 16 year old (6' 3") nephew, who is in Chicago and just getting into golf. He is anxiously waiting for the thaw but is hitting practice balls I sent him in the basement. Loves the clubs. Brother in law is not too happy about the plastic ball marks on the walls: I couldn't be happier. Great clubs for the beginner to high intermediate golfer.

I've owned many sets of Callaway and Ping irons, and I keep coming back to these. Never should have sold my original set 4 years ago. Take it from me, newer is not always better.

The G20 black dot irons with senior shafts work well for my swing. They get the ball up high, if I want and are as long as my old clubs, and seem more forgiving. I did change the grips to mid-size for my hands. I think Ping clubs are worth the money, and these were reasonably priced for used clubs.
