This is not the cheapest combination set but it is certainly not the dearest. However it is definitely sturdy and of a high quality. Comparing it to my vintage Rabone square it is slightly less sturdy but of more than acceptable quality. I tested the square for squareness and found it very slightly out of square, maybe about a tenth of a mm over the 12". This is acceptable for woodworking which is what I am using it for but for precision metalwork I would not rely on its accuracy. Overall it is an excellent product and will be much used in the shed.

Nice quality cast combination square set. Not as high end a s a Starrett, but better than the cheaper Bunnings models. The only downside is that the ruler only has markings on one face. This is in the product description but to be useful, it really should have imperial on both edges of one face and metric on both edged on the other side.

I remember when tools were always made like this ( yes I’m past 50 ) made to last in a throw away society. You definitely get what you pay for and I’m glad I paid a reasonable amount for these, now I’m wondering how better are there top of the range sets are , probably very very accurate judging by the quality of this combination set, I would highly recommend .
