After not playing golf for 10 years I decided to go back to the course to see if I could maybe approach the 8 handicap I was when I stopped playing. I bought a new set of clubs (I am older with less swing speed and cannot hit my stiff shafts anymore) and hit the range with a vengeance before trying to venture to actual playing. I hit my irons as I expected after such a long layoff but I could not hit my driver at all. The reason? It was HUGE!!!! I mean, the driver (as well as all other drivers I looked at) was twice the size of my old driver. I wanted to find a driver with much less volume but it was almost impossible. Until I found this Callaway Bertha Mini 1.5! It is only slightly bigger than a 3 Wood and adjustable (adjustable clubs did not exist 10 years ago when I quit playing!). I can adjust the loft between 13 and 16 degrees and when my power fade start becoming a slice I can adjust the lie from Neutral to a Draw bias to combat the slice until I start hooking it and then go back to neutral again. It feels so nice to be looking down in your stance and not see a gigantic club but a nice, tight, pretty club that inspires confidence. Believe me, if you hate those huge 400-460cc drivers that your 80-85mph swing speed cannot hit, you need a Callaway Bertha Mini 1.5 in your bag.Read full review

I purchased this club based on the advertising that it would be easier to hit and multifunctional. The opposite occurred as it was harder to hit and and did not have a good feel. Additionally, drives were much shorter than I expected and my three wood, which is easier to hit produces drives of +20 yards.

I have owned many clubs in my 73 years, but without a doubt this is one of the finest. I still hit a pretty good for an old guy, but this club has made it so much easier. I purchased this mini driver because callaway says it is easier for a senior player to hit (straighter and more accurate) and they are right. I used it mainly for a strong 3 wood, but if I come up on a tight par 4 or 5 I will use my mini from the tee and get outstanding results, and in most cases it goes just as far as my rbz driver. I highly recommend the mini 1.5 with the fujikura speeder shaft. great job callaway

Just about as long as my driver off the tee, but (for me) a lot straighter. I bought the 14 degree in hopes I could use it on the fairway as well, and I wasn't disappointed. Deep face seems to catch the ball perfectly off the turf--I hit a rocket 250 yards from the fairway yesterday, straight down the middle. Maybe never do it again, but it was fun!

I bought this with the hope of hitting my drives much straighter. I hit very well with my 3 wood but not so much with my driver. Well I am happy to report that my drives are now straight as an arrow with great distance. This club easily has done what I had hoped it would do and then some.
