I came across this club by accident. My playing partner had them recommended to him by his instructor. I asked if I could hit his 3 hybrid on a long par 3. Man I nailed it. The feel was so solid, with more distance and height than my R7 3 iron. It was so easy to hit . It love was luv at first swing. Also it a great looking club looks great at address. Since then I have bought a 4 hybrid and upgraded my remaining irons to Taylormade burners. In the past I have owned Taylormade dual hybrids which I still have and Adams hybrids. These Callaway RAZR X are by far the best from all lies and the tee. Give them a try u won't be disappointed........
First, a disclaimer: I'm a high handicap golfer and am just now getting a feel for long irons. Having said that, my hits with the Callaway RAZR 3 hybrid are much more consistent and slightly longer than the clubs I had. I also find it's easier to hit well than my shorter woods and am more likely to use it for distances that overlap. In the past, I've found that most club upgrades result in little change in my game, but this RAZR X 3 hybrid has made a real difference.
Best Hybrid ever owned. Previously owned Cobra Baffler, Diablo Edge, Burner 2.0 Hybrid. Hits similar to Diablo Edge with longer distance. Forgiving, Very easy to hit, and just as long as the Burner. If you are a draw player, I would recommend a tour version. The tour model has a less off set and smaller head. However, it does have a heavier, stiffer shaft. Having said that, the standard stiff plays more like a firm shaft with a medium ball flight.
I purchased a 3H & 4H after hitting the RAZR X hybrids at a Callaway Demo Day in Florida. I love the way they feel. The feedback is great. When I hit them properly the sound and feel tell me I made a good swing. I am hitting them straight and about 15 yards longer than my corresponding irons I removed from my bag. I am also much more consistant. Even my bad swings produce good results. I am considering buying a 2H which would replace the 5 wood and a 5H.
A friend suggested that I should try hybrids to help my long shots. I had always liked using my long irons but recently was losing distance for all my clubs. I purchased #3 & #4 Callaway hybrids. Wow! They were easy to hit & went right down the middle of the fairway. These clubs have now replaced my long irons. Just love them.
